saw-piercing shapes out of thick silver plate
rough shapes to be filed
basic shape being carved
fingers are sore - took a photo break
used ball-burrs to creative dip in apple
just before polishing
finished apple earrings (where possible i try to have 'left' & 'right' earrings, i think it's a nice nod to traditional jewellery, so the stalks are facing different ways, with the love letters, the stamps on the back are vertical & horizontal)last year when i got sick, just about all i was comfortable eating were apples & chocolate. i got really frightened of food cause i didn't know what was making me ill & these were 2 food groups i was fine with.
so *cheers* to the humble apple, my favorite snack-fruit.
(they'll be for sale at
Bowerbird markets! $55)

they are gorgeous Vic, and I've loved seeing them come to life.
And I like that apples are a bit spesh to you
Ahh I love seeing your work process. They are very special apples indeed!
They're beautiful Vic.
I love how much thought goes into every single thing you do. x
I too love seeing the process, they are super.
I love these (what don't I love that you create!) - they look so tactile. Loving the apples. She'll be apples. They're the apples of my eyes. Oh I could go on. But I won't. Because that would just be painful.
