the start of something VERY exciting (& the collaboration i mentioned a few weeks ago)When we were away I didn't have any tools other than the scalpel & a large file so it was a really slow & lovely process..but probably an extra 30 hours or so compared to using burrs & drills!

It must be an interesting process using basic hand tools without the option of a flex shaft and other more recent equipment. Maybe it will give you a bit of a feel for the early goldsmiths' process! I can't wait to see how your project progresses :)
